Color Tales: The Brown Look

by Fleurzty on June 30, 2009

As I said in yesterday’s post, it is always recomended to stay within two shades of your natural color for a richer color that lasts longer. I first started experimenting with color a year into my journey. I followed the recommendations I read in a few different places, and went to an Aveda Concept Salon [...]

Color for Beginners

by Fleurzty on June 29, 2009

Summer is a time of fun and bright colors. We change wardrobes, make plans to be outside, pull out our swimwear and face the beautiful months. Summer is also a time when thoughts of coloring our hair to match our inner moods are at their prime. While there is absolutely nothing wrong with livening [...]

by Fleurzty on June 25, 2009

Wedding Updo Style

by Fleurzty on June 22, 2009

Thank you for all the suggestions! I forgot my banana clip at home, so though I initially wanted to go with the twist updo, I couldn’t twist it as nicely without the clip. So, I went for the next best thing I could think of at the time. I didn’t take good pictures either. I was [...]

1.  I tried the mask again today, less than a week from my original treatment. I normally would wait a week, but I am flying to my mother-in-law’s wedding today. I need my hair to look amazing for the wedding tomorrow, but already know that I won’t have the time this evening or tomorrow morning to [...]

Mythbuster: The Journey

by Fleurzty on June 17, 2009

A very big myth in the natural community is that all naturals are on a “soul searching journey”. I personally speak of my journey quite often. “My” natural hair experience has been a journey, one that I am on and plan on remaining on. So, this is not to say that you can’t view your [...]
