Fleurzty Answers: Caring for Children' Hair

by Fleurzty on July 31, 2009

Dear Fleurzty,
I’ve just bumped into your blob.  You look great!  Is you hair texturized.  Is it possible for me to get my daughters hair about your texture-loosely curled.  She has beautiful, strong, coarse, wiry type hair.  It is very thick and long. It’s a real work-out doing her hair.  Please give me some suggestions.  Thank-you [...]

A friend of mine who has been dealing with hair loss for the past couple of years has agreed to this interview, so I hope this can help someone out there.
How long did you wear your hair long?

Ayurvedic Tea Anyone?

by Fleurzty on July 29, 2009

I had to do my hair for the week, and felt the urge to do another Ayurvedic treatment. I know! I know! My last one was less than a week ago. I wanted the benefits of the treatment, but not the work of it. So, I thought of doing a Ayurvedic tea and using that [...]

TR (hubby)'s Perspective on Growing his Hair

by Fleurzty on July 28, 2009

Growing your hair long is a no-brainer for a guy.  We wash, we dry, we pick and we tell the barber, ‘just a tape man, and a little trim off the top.’  Those were the days before living with a ‘Natural Hair Care Professional.’  Now, it’s about conditioning, leave-in conditioner, air drying, curling custards, essential [...]

He's a Man, yet He Has Hair

by Fleurzty on July 27, 2009

I have been guilty of only speaking to the ladies. When I think of haircare, I have to admit that women and children come to mind, because for a long time I just assumed that men simply did not have to worry about it. Most men wear a short cut anyway, and those who don’t [...]

A Twistout I'm Proud Of

by Fleurzty on July 26, 2009

In my post from earlier today, I mentioned twisting my hair last night. The twistout came out really nice. My hair feels soft and bouncy. I am enjoying the volume as well. Large twists give more of a wavy look, but they don’t last as long.

July Pampering
It is that time again! I can’t believe how many months have already gone by since I first mentioned my monthly pampering sessions. Time flies when you’re having fun, they say
I took my hair to the spa this past Friday. I did everything but a tea rinse, but the highlight was actually the [...]

Fleurzty Answers: Tea Rinses

by Fleurzty on July 24, 2009

Hey Fleurzty! You’ve mentioned tea rinses in some of your blog entries and videos and I’m quite curious about this and I have a few questions about it.
What are the benefits of doing tea rinses?
What kind of tea do you use?
Is it okay to use any kind of tea?
Do you leave the tea in or [...]

Waking Beauty

by Fleurzty on July 23, 2009

I have now been asked about my nightly routine quite a few times. I do not mean to ignore the question, so here is the post. Nighttime care is a key part of your hair’s journey. It is so easy to neglect the nightly routines, but it is not worth the pain of detangling your [...]

How did the new week find you?

by Fleurzty on July 20, 2009

I have to wash my hair today. I had no time to do it this past weekend. My hair is up, and I jut realized that this challenge ends in 11 days. I am excited, though I will probably keep my hair is in some sort of protective style well beyond the end of the [...]
