I am still in Miami for my sister’s graduation and will be here until tomorrow. Part of the joy of being home is enjoying being spoiled for a little bit and actually (if you have kids) having relatives who can babysit while you take a nap or run errands. Well, for me, I wanted my mother to do my hair before I leave. Today she got a chance to do my hair. I am so happy with it. Last time my mother did my hair I was really young and I see pictures of my sister’s hair after my mom does her hair (and it is always gorgeous). Since I can’t cornrow, I opted for those. Here are the pics. I hope it lasts through the weekend!

It looks so beautiful!! I know what you mean about having family around to help with kids. My DH and I didn’t really have anyone up until about a few months ago when his parents moved closer…and they are still an hour’s drive away, but it’s closer than it was. Anyway, I hope you enjoy Miami and I hope your hair holds up through the weekend.

They look amazing!! When I go home I also get mommy to cornrow my hair, makes me feel like her litter girl again. Your braids are to thick and long though, my hair is super thick and BSL but my braids def do not look like yours…maybe one day!

Hypnotic, I wish I could visit more often. She styled my hair while it was damp. She wouldn’t let me rewet it. I didn’t loose much hair though and it didn’t hurt so I’m fine with her doing it her way.
