Your site is wonderful. There is so much information. I have recently decided to stop using chemicals on my hair (May 8, 2009 was my last relaxer) and am settling nicely into the transition. I look forward to learning more from you!

Hi Fleurtzy,

I wanted to know, seeing that your twists are ALWAYS fabulous, how do you tie them up at night? If at all. I just twisted my hair and I tie a satin scarf ( to try and keep fly aways at minimum) and put my bonnet on to protect my ends, but in the morning, the ends that aren’t covered by the scarf, are going in every direction but down. So I always seem to have to do a pin up style or bun. No my hair isn’t quite the length of yours but it is about 3 inches past my shoulders ( almost APL I guess). Any tips will be greatly appreciated. And I love your blog. Stay beautiful sister.

Hello!
first, congratulations on the boutique! I have been following your blog for at least a year now, I suppose I should just subscribe already!
To get to the point, I have had success with using avocado masks and would like to venture into trying avocado butter along with my shea. I have seen a few sites where I am tempted to buy it, but trust your opinion. Where so you purchase your avocado butter from?
Thanks in advance,
robyn

Hi Fleurzty
D’abord, Je vous souhaite tout le meilleur dans votre nouvelle entreprise. I just purchased all the new products you have featured and I hope to have as much sucess with my hair that you have experienced with yours. I have been natural now for 7 months and unfortunately, I have experienced a severe heat damage to some portion of my hair and I am at lost on how to amend this situation. So I hope your products will help with this situation and of course any advice from you will be greatly appreciated.

I have slowly been learning more and more about my natural hair. I am having problems with my hair consistently being dry. The only time my hair doesn’t appear to be dry is when I wear my twist out. When I do a roller set, my hair is like straw. I am at a total loss and do not know what to do to retain moisture. Is there any advice that you would be able to give to me.

Hi Fleurzty! I just wanted to thank you for taking the time to answer questions and post such great information. You are truly an inspiration. I love your hair the versatility that you have and I want the same thing too!

I cut the relaxer out of my hair back in 2001. However, as my hair began to grow, I found that I did not know what to do with it. After the first year of being natural, I started getting my hair pressed and flat-ironed regularly. As a result, my hair is damaged now. My hair is curly/frizzy at the roots with loose/wavy curls at the ends. I stopped pressing my hair almost five months ago. My hair is past shoulder length right now and I am considering cutting it off and starting over (if this is possible). Do you think your products and proper hair care can repair my damaged hair or should I just cut it off?

If you suggest keeping my hair, I have another dilemma. My hair lacks shape and is heavy on the bottom. It is essentially all one length and it looks “big” when I try to wear a wash and go. I usually end up pulling it back into a curly ponytail. Is it necessary to get long layers to improve the shape?

I have so many questions but I will stop here. I look forward to reading your articles and blog to see if some of my questions have already been answered. Again thank you SO MUCH! I am so excited about my new hair journey.

I took out my braids (had already decided to grow hair out w/out a perm) and now….urggh i have to comb it. hELP! I HAVE REALLY THICK COARSE HAIR. my hair is really thirsty with out a perm, any suggestions out there.

I don’t have any suggestions but rather, accolades!!!! Thank you first and foremost for sending out the Hydrating Hair Butter I ordered so quickly! I received it last week and couldn’t wait to use it…..well, I can’t say enough good things. I was searching for that final product to round out my regimen – something that would moisturize but also add shine. This did both and more! I’ve never had such a well-defined twist-out and my hair is so soft! Thank you Fleurzty!!! Add me to your well-deserved and growing fan club. “Meci!”

Hi:

I have been out of braids for a little over a month. Just learning that what a product does for one may not necessarily be what it does for another. During my short stint with natural, I must say that I have become a product junkie. I have spent much on products, some work and some don’t. In an effort to cut down on unecessary purchases, I have been asking for samples of products before all out purchcasing. Truly, I am in need of a good moisturizing butter. I have four of them that moisurize for a little while but have to be used 3-4 times a day to keep the moiturizing happening. Please, if you don’t mind, allow me to sample your butter (s).
