My First 4 Years
A quick look into the first 4 years of me wearing my natural hair. I sometimes love to believe that it took this long for me to absorb a lot of the information that I needed, become acquainted with my hair and satisfy my curiosity with products and color.

I am growing my hair out natural and I think i have the same texture as you from the pictures as a matter of fact my hair is about the same length as yours during your year two as well. When did you start rod setting your hair I am going for my first one this weekend and I want to make sure it turns out right!
You are far ahead of me
I didn’t rodset until this past December, that would be at the start of Year 5. I was not very adventurous with my styling and conditioning in the beginning. You can see in my pictures that most of the time I experienced a lot of frizz and poofiness. I miss it sometimes! Many treatments later, I rarely experience poofiness, even when I don’t apply a lot of products. This happens with more length as well. My hair falls a lot more now regardless.

Let me first say that I love your hair and blog; you are one of my hair inspirations! I am only in my second year of having natural hair, and I think that my hair type is similar to yours in the beginning of your journey. Over time your culrs seem to have lossened and became less frizzy. I am wondering how did you acheive this because I am constently fighting with my hair to acheive less frizz and elongated curls. My curls seem to look different everytime I do it, but with lots of frizz. PLEASE HELP ME!!
